Hugo Ramon who has already
participated to the Mini Transat in 2005, 2007 and 2009 is now preparing
his mini 6.50 for the 2013 edition. For wind measurement he has chosen
to install the CV7-C, interfaced to his electronic instruments system.
Light weight, accuracy and proven reliability of the sensors made by LCJ
Capteurs have been predominant factors in Hugo's choice to go for this
performant ultrasonic wind sensor. This unit comes with a long carbon
arm and the assembly weights only 200 g!
Hugo will be on the starting line of
the "Grand huit" regata in La Grande Motte (south of France) august
18th. This race will prepare him for the Mini Transat starting from
Douarnenez in october 2013. His boat will race under the name "La Milla
solidaria", supporting a non profit association which help children
fighting against cancer.
LCJ Capteurs is very happy to bring
their support to Hugo and his actions, following past partnerships with
other Mini 650 (Nicolas Charmet, Sébastien Stéphant). We will follow his
races very closely to bring you fresh news.
This follows the recent annoucements of Mantsbrite in the UK, ELNA in Germany, John Nurminen Marine in Finland and Vélasalan ehf
in Iceland as part of the LCJ Capteurs distributors network where the
Ultrasonic Sensors are made available from stock by local experts.
The range of Ultrasonic Wind Sensors from LCJ Capteurs addresses all markets sectors with products variations adapted to each use requirement.
LCJ Capteurs sensors have proved their build quality, reliability and accuracy in the harsh marine environment and they are now widely used in other fields such as weather stations, industrial applications, security and agriculture to name a few. Well known in France and recognized since 1999 these “moving-parts-free” sensors are often used on Mini 650 where low weight and small size are important benefits.
This 2013 season sees also the launchinbg of the Rotating Mast Kit which can be added to the CanBus interface.
This allows using any instrument
system of your choice to be fitted on a sailboat with rotating mast.
Simply plug your instrument system to the LCJ Capteurs CanBus interface connected to the mast head unit and a rotating mast sensor: the wind direction is automatically corrected from the mast angle!
Note that all the LCJ Capteurs Ultrasonic Wind Sensors
feature an NMEA0183 interface as a standard and can be ordered with the
relevant interface option for a direct integration to most of the
systems available on the market. LCJ Capteurs can develop specific interfaces on request.
